Take a look at some of the work we have done below. These pictures will be updated regularly, so please take the time to look on a regular basis.
Hadcock GH220
This arm came to us in a poor state. We completely stripped the arm, re-wired with copper litz, fitted new cartridge tags, cleaned the whole arm, stripped the bearings and fitted a new wiring socket to the platform. We also added an earth lead as these arms are not earthed as standard.
SME3009 Improved
This sme has had a total strip, clean, solid silver re-wire,plastic knife bearing upgraded to a bronze knife bearing, phono socket conversion, minimal damping added to arm tube and pillar bearings replaced with abec 5 races.
Thorens TD160
This TD160 came to us in a poor state. Lots of corrosion and a bent tonearm. We managed the repair the tonearm and this will be sold by the customer. The customer supplied the plinth by Layers-of-beauty. This deck requires a complete strip and clean, full service and we will be fitting an Audiomods tonearm. Should be stunning when all the work is done.
Thorens TD124 Mk2
This Thorens needed a complete strip, clean, replacement of the switch capacitor, motor rebuild and spindle thrust plate upgrade
Kuzma Stabi S
This customer had
purchased the deck secondhand and discovered some issues. The main
spindle seemed tight and the tonearm wiring had been botched. The
previous owner had put what appears to be motor oil in. This has caused
the fibrous bushes to swell. We flushed bearing and replaced with our
own bearing oil and is performing much better. Arm needs a complete
rewire though!
Pro-ject Turntable
This deck required a complete strip and clean, the motor had seized. We repaired the motor, plus we replaced the cartridge tags.
Performing beautifully now.

Transcriptor Saturn This deck needed a compete strip, clean and replace the wiring in the tonearm. On final setup, the arm is unusual and needed carefull alignment, but all the work was worth it as this is one fine sounding turntable.
Lenco GL78
This Lenco Had not been used in many years. The customer requested a new plinth, service, fit a Linn arm and Nagaoka cartridge.
The deck was stripped, motor polished, spindle polished, platter polished, chassis converted for the new arm, rebuild and setup.

Garrard 401
This needed the motor stripping and lubricating, the main bearing was inspected, polished and correct lubricant added, the idler was covered in grease and was cleaned, dressed and correct lubricant used, eddy wheel straightened, and the platter running surface was re-finished. It is now runing beautifully.
Pro-ject Debut 111
This deck needed a minor service and cartridge set up, plus there was a earthing issue to the right channel. All fixed and running great now.
Garrard 301
This Garrard requires a complete restoration. We will strip the deck completely, including motor and main bearing. Polish main bearing and motor before re-assembly and correct lubrication. Also re-paint chassis and platter, clean all metal parts, replace all springs, spark suppressor, brake pad, isolation grommets and motor connection cover with genuine parts from Perfect Sound. Idler wheel we be re-dressed and all linkages greased. Control plates will be re-fitted with new rivets. This deck had been used for a long time with little or no lubrication as can be seen in the first picture of the main bearing spindle, but luckily we have been able to save it as well as the motor.
Linn Ittok silver re-wire
Here we have an early Ittok tonearm. The standard wiring was of poor quality so was re-wired with pure silver internally, plus I made a Tempest arm cable with gold plated pure silver conductors. On inspection, the arm bearings were in poor condition, being very dirty. These were thoroughly cleaned. This is hard to detect when the arm is complete but is very noticable when dismantled. Also, the headshell looked a bit tatty, so I re-painted this as the arm was in pieces.
Garrard 401 Late model
This Garrard came to me still in it's original box. Cosmetically it was in very good condition. Even so it needed a full service as parts of the drive system were loose> It would not have worked as delivered to the customer. The motor had never been lubricated, and the main bearing had some pitting to the shaft causing noise. I have managed to reduce the noise considerably. This deck has had a complete mechanical overhaul and now reaches speed in half a revolution.
Goldring (Lenco) G99
This Lenco needed a complete strip, re-paint the linkages that were rusted, re-build the motor which was in poor condition (rust inside and damaged rotor), replace the capacitor as the motor would not stop, straighten and dress the idler wheel. It is now running silently and reaches speed instantly. The main bearing is a Redbeard Analogue Superbearing available via Northwest Analogue, a major upgrade over the stock bearing. This one also has the optional bottom clamp system attached to the slate plinth.
Garrard 401
This Garrard has undergone a complete mechanical overhaul, plus I have re-painted the chassis as there were some chips and dust bug marks to the original paint.

This Garrard needed a complete service, chassis re-paint, platter re-paint, repair and re-paint to the control plate surround, new control plate and knob inserts.
Garrard 301 cream oil bearing
This Garrard has undergone a complete overhaul and re-paint of chassis and platter.
Pro-ject carbon Tonearm
This has had a re-wire with pure silver solid core wire, plus bearings were inspected and cleaned. As you can see in the pictures there were deposits within the bearings. All sorted now.
Rega RB700
This came to me with damaged wiring. I re-wired internally with copper litz and repaired the external cable, plus inspected and cleaned the bearings.
Morch UP4

This arm needed a complete strip and re build, fit new cartridge tags and polish wand, fix bias assembly and fit new rubber to arm lift.
Lenco 75

This came to me in a bit of a state. I have completely stripped, re-painted chassis, cut chassis for new arm, platter polished, new Redbeard Super bearing fitted, new plinth, new arm. Looks and performs brilliantly now.
